Volunteer Matching Beta Opens to All Organizations

The skill-based volunteer matching system, previously limited to 200 partner spots, is now open to every organization. Volunteers list skills and availability once; organizers see ranked matches when a new shift or task is posted.

The beta surfaced more than 8,400 successful matches over its closed period, with a median time-to-first-shift of under five days.

An independent audit by Equal Access Studio confirmed activist.spot meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA across all public pages and the organizer dashboard.

Remaining issues — primarily around the in-product chat widget — are tracked publicly and scheduled for resolution before the end of Q3.

Coalition Tools Move Out of Beta

After eight weeks of testing with statewide labor and tenant-rights networks, our shared-roster and cross-spot petition tools are now available to every organization on the platform.

Coalitions can now run a single petition across dozens of member spots, with each member group retaining its own signer list and follow-up flow.

The platform crossed 14,000 active campaigns this week, reflecting strong growth across housing, climate, labor, and education organizing.

Half of all spots are run by individual organizers, with the rest spread across local groups, statewide coalitions, and national nonprofits.

The platform combines petition tools, event hosting, supporter networking, and a unique location-first feature set that lets organizers find allies in their own neighborhoods.

“Every cause needs a place,” said one of the co-founders. “We built activist.spot because every other platform forgets that.”
